From I-5 Heading North
From I-5 heading South
From 199 (coast via Redwood Highway)

From Ashland via 99
From Medford

From I-5: Heading North

Take Exit 24, turn left on Fern Valley Road - 0.5 miles

At second traffic light (Ray's Place is opposite) turn right onto Hwy 99 Pacific Highway (N. Main, Phoenix) - 1.3 miles

Turn left at Traffic light (marked Jacksonville Historic District - Reter Fruit Co. on left) onto S. Stage Road. - 3.4 miles

Turn left at 'T' junction (Chevron Station on right) onto Griffin Creek Rd. - 2.3 miles

Continue straight on Griffin Lane (where Griffin Creek Rd turns sharp left) - 2.4 miles

This road turns to gravel (some oil treated and smooth), passes through a small unincorporated community, and up (and up) around two sharp bends to and over the ridgetop. Continue down hill, pass 'Bear Mountain' (on left) to mile marker '3' (on right).

Please look out for deer on this road, the behavior of the little spotty fawns is especially unpredictable.

See row of mail boxes on left (7109,  7111, 7115, 7113) opposite lot # 7120; turn left onto private hardtop road ('Painted Sky Ranch" is on right after turn) -  0.5 miles

Please look out for California ground squirrels running across this road - usually downhill from North to South

From I-5: Heading South

Take Exit 27, towards Oregon 99

Turn right onto Garfield  Road - 2.2 miles

Turn left onto S. Columbus Ave. - 0.8 miles

Turn right onto S. Stage Rd. - 0.8 miles

Turn left at 'T' junction (Chevron Station on right) onto Griffin Creek Rd. - 2.3 miles

Continue straight on Griffin Lane (where Griffin Creek Rd turns sharp left) - 2.4 miles

From 199 (Redwood Highway from Coast)

Two Choices:
via Hwy 238 or via I - 5

a) Via HWY 238

From 199, at Grants Pass turn right onto Hwy 238

[If you are familiar with the area, have a map, or feel experimental, there is a short cut (off 199) that saves the Grants Pass visit:  Take the right turn into Wilderville

Turn rt in Wilderville  onto Fish Hatchery Rd. when this takes a sharp left - continue straight onto Southside into Murphy and turn rt on 238]

Follow 238 towards Jacksonville - pass through Applegate

About 5 or 6 miles after Applegate, turn right onto Hamilton Road (to Cantrall-Buckley County Park)

Continue on Hamilton Road to 'T' junction with Upper Applegate Road - turn right

In about 2 miles turn left onto Little Applegate Road.

In about 4 miles (at Buncom) turn left onto Sterling Creek Road.

In about 5 miles, as Sterling Creek Rd turns left take slight right onto Griffin Lane

Just before mile marker 3 (on left) see see row of sign to 7109,  7111, 7115, 7113, 7117) on rt, opposite lot # 7120 on left; turn rt onto hardtop rd.

See 7113 on left ('Los Inocentes del Norte' sign on tree). You are here!

b) via I-5

Continue on 199 until it intersects with I5 South - Go South

Then follow directions above 'From I5 Heading South'

Alternative Route From Ashland

Head north on Pacific Highway 99 to Talent

At third Talent Traffic Light (i.e. after 76 Station on left) turn left onto Colver Road

Continue on Colver Rd. approximately 2 miles to Pioneer Rd (left)

Turn left and travel approximately 2 miles (crossing Coleman Creek Rd on the way)

Approximately half a mile after Coleman Creek Pioneer Rd. turns right; turn right to stay on Pioneer Rd

Wriggle around to 'T' junction - Pioneer Rd turns left; turn left to stay on Pioneer Rd.

Approximately 1 mile to another 'T' junction, Pioneer Rd turn right; turn right to stay on Pioneer Rd.

Approximately half a mile to another 'T' junction (Griffin Creek Rd);  turn left onto Griffin Creek Rd.

In approximately 1 mile, Griffin Creek Rd turns sharp left; don't turn - continue straight onto Griffin Lane

Griffin Lane turns to gravel and passes through a small community up and up....

Griffin Lane wriggles up through a sharp zig-zag-zig to top of the hill.

Continue straightish (soft right) staying on Griffin Lane down hill (you are now in the Applegate Valley).

Continue about half a mile until you see green mile marker 3 on right - (slow down)

After a set of mail boxes on left see fire department signs pointing left for (7109, 7111, 7113,) - turn left onto paved road

Our lot is the fourth on left (about 3/4  mile).

See 7113 fire dept sign and 'Los Inocentes del Norte' sign attached to tree - turn left up our driveway.

From Downtown Medford

Take Main west to Columbus and turn left

OR

Go South on Central onto Riverside and to Stewart; turn right onto Stewart

Continue on Stewart to Columbus and turn left

At 'T' junction of South Stage Rd. turn right

At 'T' junction of Griffin Creek Rd turn left

In approximately 1 mile, Griffin Creek Rd turns sharp left;  don't turn -  continue straight onto Griffin Lane

Griffin Lane turns to gravel and passes through a small community up and up....

Continue straightish (soft right) staying on Griffin Lane down hill (you are now in the Applegate Valley).

Winter Weather

If snow conditions are possible...

Follow whichever above directions to Griffin Creek Rd.

Continue south on Griffin Creek Rd.

Turn right onto West Griffin Creek Rd (this becomes Poorman's Creek Rd.)

At 'T' junction' of Sterling Creek Rd turn left

Continue south on Sterling Creek Road approximately 5 miles

As Sterling Creek Rd turns sharp right (a 20 mph warning sign is present), turn left onto Griffin Lane

Continue North on Griffin Lane (gravel) approximately 2 miles.

See # 7120 then mile marker 3 on left and Painted Sky ranch on right: turn right onto paved road - not driveway, which is hard right) - if you see our mail box (7113 on right) you've gone a little too far.

Please look out for California ground squirrels running across this road - usually downhill from North to South

Continue approximately 0.5 mile and see 7113 "Los Inocentes del Norte" on left. You are here!
